Romeo & Juliet on Ice Arena di Verona

A cast of 250 people that unites actors and sports stars, including 6 Olympic gold medals and 12 world champions of ice skating, spectacular special effects and a set up with attention to the smallest details: "Romeo & Juliet", the musical on ice directed by Russian Ilya Averbukh , he arrives at the Arena in Verona on October 6, the first European date. Averbukh, producer, choreographer and former world skating champion, this year oversaw the ceremonies of the 2018 Russian Football World Cup and in the past the choreography of important international sporting events. He has participated in the conception of over 200 artistic projects and his next bet is the Shakespeare classic . A pharaonic musical , which in Russia was seen by over a million people in 2017 and which, due to Averbukh's desire , will be staged for the first time in Europe in the Scaliger city.

"A great dream of mine is coming true - adds Averbukh - which I will not be able to believe until it becomes reality: to bring this international myth of love for the first time out of Russia to the city where Shakespeare set it . I hope it bodes well for this show, starting from Verona, to travel the world ». To set up the musical, Averbukh brought together a stellar cast consisting of 100 artists including world champion athletes and Olympic champions, singers, dancers, circus performers, choreographers, teachers. The music is by Mozart, Prokofiev, Bach, Mendelssohn , alternating with the original ones composed by Roman Ignatiev, the greatest Russian musical composer.
